Super Saver Tickets launched for Malta Comic Con 2019

The Sonic Saver Tickets that were available online from the Malta Comic Con website are sold out.

On Saturday 28th September, Wicked Comics are launching the Super Saver Tickets. These Tickets will still be at a discounted price and will cost: 12 Euros for 1 day and 16 Euros for 2 days.

Wicked Comics would also like to announce the 5th wave of Guests for the Malta Comic con 2019: Gene Ha (US), Fernando Dagnino (Spain), Jessica Martin (UK), Erik Arreaga (US), Hamid Ibrahim – Kugali (UK),  Jenika Ioffreda (UK) and Mythopoeia.

Gene Ha is an American comic book artist best known for his work with writer Alan Moore on Top 10 and The Forty-Niners. He has also worked on various books for Marvel and DC Comics, including the X-Men, Superman, and the Justice League. He is currently writing and drawing the graphic novel series Mae from Lion Forge/Oni Press.

Fernando Dagnino has worked with DC Comics on such series as: Superman, Supergirl, Batman and the Outsiders, Wonder Woman, Teen Titans, Justice League, Resurrection Man and Suicide Squad. With Dark Horse Comics he worked on Captain Midnight, Tarzan and Planet of the Apes and currently is working for Valiant on KILLERS and Winter Queen.

Jessica Martin is a London born comics writer/artist and actress, well known for her portrayal of Mags in the Doctor Who series. She emerged on the comics scene with a one page strip written by her and illustrated by her mentor, Mark Buckingham. Her first self-published comic is “It Girl” however her biggest achievement to date has been her graphic memoir “Life Drawing. A Life Under Lights”.

Erik Arreaga is a Digital Comic Book Illustrator from San Diego that had the great opportunity to be part of various Published Projects, Comic Conventions, Art Galleries and Festivals.

Hamid Ibrahim is a CG director and co-founder of Kugali, an arts and animation company that showcases the best African stories using comics, art and animation. He has worked on several Hollywood blockbusters such as The Predator, Disney’s:  Dumbo and The Lion King.

Jenika Ioffreda is the creator of self-published and award nominated comic book series “Vampire Free Style”. Her works have been also used for merchandising, artbooks, CD covers, musical theatre and children stories. She is currently self publishing the comic book series “Midnight Tea”, the adventures of a 19th century girls who sees ghosts.

Mythopoeia was created by Vincenzo Ferriero and Ray Chou as an artistic body to craft original worlds for its stories.

Each project delves into the histories of fictional worlds to create immersive speculative fiction. They are a worldwide ensemble, featuring talents from all over the world.

Joining our Guests there are many talented artists and writers from the local scene such as: Mae McKinnon, Lisa Hirth, Ou Liu, Mario Damiano Sciuto and William Calleja.

Mostly writing science-fiction and fantasy, Mae Mckinnon has a craving for turning the unknown into the known or vice versa.

Lisa Hirth is a Swedish-German, Malta-born artist, who loves fantasy and fairy tale themed art.

Ou Liu is a self-taught artist, fashion enthusiast who is currently studying software.

Mario Damiano Sciuto and William Calleja manage WM Art Studio and have been involved in various projects.

The 11th edition of the Malta Comic Con 2019 is held on Saturday 2nd (10am-6pm) and Sunday 3rd (11am-7pm) November at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre Ta’ Qali.
