The Writers Club and Euro Media Forum present Game of Thrones: Books vs TV series – Does the TV series do justice to the books? Presentation and Discussion at Palazzo de Piro, Mdina on Sunday 30th March at 2 p.m.

Winter is coming! as Game of Thrones returns to TV! Season after season, Game of Thrones has offered up some of the most exquisite eye candy of any TV series, and it looks like that the upcoming Season 4 will be no exception.

An adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, George R. R. Martin‘s series of fantasy novels, the first of which is titled A Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created for HBO and was filmed in a Belfast studio and on location in Malta. Speakers Mark Abdilla and Adam Peter Fretwell will give insight if the TV series does justice to George R. R. Martin‘s series of fantasy novels. The speakers will delve into the history and lore of Westeros and Essos, the recorded history and all events leading up to the start of the War of the Five Kings. They will also explore the morally ambiguous characters; and the series themes of social hierarchy, religion, loyalty, corruption, sexuality, civil war, crime, and punishment.

To spice up the afternoon there will also be a Game of thrones quiz, with the opportunity to win great prizes. So quiz participants keep your eyes open for clues! The event is also being supported by Palazzo de Piro, The Writers Club, Eden Cinemas, Giotto restaurant – St Julians and DESA. Price is Euro 10 per person including refreshments.
