This week I am reviewing something different! Now this is a personal favourite and it has always been my ambition to collect all the volumes. Finally, I have succeeded in completing this collection (although I still need to buy the latest edition which is due to come out soon). Asterix, Obelix and the numerous characters written by Rene Goscinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo have been with us from 1959. Although their adventures have been with us for many years they are ageless and always fun. There have been many adaptations to films, both animations and live action, but nothing beats the original comic material. I hope everyone has heard of Asterix and his best friend Obelix, so there is no need to go into details of their exploits. The asset of this French creation is the tongue in cheek humour on various subjects and cultures. Nothing to add but to be careful while you are reading it as you might wake up the neighbours.
