Comic Creator Bernard Micallef has been experimenting with Manga ever since he was ten years old. During his time at the Junior College he formed the Manga Club were he met his present girlfriend and fellow mangaka Jeanelle M. Zammit. During the Malta Comic Con 2010 Bernard launched the first instalment of “Arcana Crusade”, a manga title on which Jeanelle also contributed. Showcasing great story writing and a neat style of drawing “Arcana Crusade” established Bernard as one of Malta”s leading Mangaka. Building on the success enjoyed by “Arcana Crusade” and once again in collaboration with Jeanelle Zammit during the Malta Comic Con 2011 Bernard will launch a series of books titled RPGB – Role Playing Game Book, a set of manga-style adventure books where the reader forms his or her own adventure.
A Basic Guide to Drawing Manga
During the presentation Bernard Micallef will discuss the basic techniques needed for drawing manga with special focus on face proportions, eyes and emotions. Handouts will be given to all those in attendance of this talk. So if you”re interested in learning some basics necessary for drawing manga this is one talk you can”t afford to miss.
